Robert Pollock Memorial Scholarship Fund

robert pollockThis fund was set up by John Pollock in memory of his brother Bob.  Bob was born in Swastika Ontario and attended Haileybury Mining School from 1948-1951.  He was a founding member of the Alumni Association.  Bob worked for Canadian Timkin for 37 years before retiring.  He was active with CIM, AMEBC and was a proud Shriner and 60+ year member of the Masonic Order (32◦) Doric Lodge, Kirkland Lake.  The income from this fund will provide a scholarship to a student (with the best grades) from Kirkland Lake, or Tri-Town area who completes the first year and proceeds into the Mining course in second year at the Haileybury Campus of Northern College. It will also provide an annual grant to the Kirkland Lake Salvation Army for its Christmas basket program
