Sandy (George) Hough Fund

The family of Sandy Hough requested when he died that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Foundation. The donations received were placed in a Named Fund within the Herbert Sweetnam Fund. This fund benefits the New Liskeard Public School. The family felt that this would be a fitting tribute to honour Sandy's dedication to education. Sandy began his teaching career at Timmins High and Vocational, taught at Englehart Public School, Cobalt Public School then moved on to New Liskeard Public School. He was the first principal of the amalgamated Charlton-Savard Public School. He subsequently was principal at Haileybury Public School and retired from a career in teaching of almost 30 years, as Principal of Kerns Public School, in February of 2000.
